Erev Rosh Hashanah brings us into the High Holidays with a single blast of the shofar. Join us for this joyous holiday service that ushers in the Days of Awe and our hopes for a sweet new year. Co-led by Aaron Fleisher, Hazzan Jim North, and Rabbi Gilah, we will welcome the Jewish year 5783 with song, poetry, prayers, and reflections. Our speaker will be Anya McMurray, director of Welcome.US, a national organization to help families fleeing Afghanistan and Ukraine land on their feet. Aaron Fleisher and Mattie Cohan will provide details on Kol Ami’s efforts to support an Afghan refugee family as well.
