Kol Ami — The Northern Virginia Reconstructionist Community

Welcome to Kol Ami!

Kol Ami is made up of progressive Jews whose practice is egalitarian, interactive, traditional and modern. We see God’s face in everyone: Jews by birth, Jews by choice, interfaith families; male, female, transgender, or non-binary; all races and ethnic backgrounds; single, married, divorced, separated, or partnered; straight, gay, lesbian, or bisexual; babies, seniors, and any age in between; fully-abled, disabled, or a person of differing abilities. We meet in Arlington VA and we welcome everyone!  Kol Ami is an affiliate of the Reconstructing Judaism movement, and is the only Reconstructionist congregation in Virginia.

Celebrating our Jewish souls.
Expanding our Jewish minds.
Reconstructing our Jewish hearts.
