Kingdom of Olives and Ashes Discussion Group led by Allan Kellum (UUCA) and Herb Levy

Posted on October 28, 2018

October 28, 2018 @ 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm –

The Kingdom of Olives and Ashes is a book of essays edited by Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman and contains a collection of essays. For this session, we’ll discuss articles five through eight. The topics of these essays range from the human rights support Palestinians receive from Israelis and Israeli NGOs, life in the Shuafat refugee camp focused on the good deeds of one man, taxi drivers and navigating check points and reflections on the Oslo accords by a man from Oslo. This discussion group is jointly sponsored by Kol Ami and the UUCA. We’ll be in the Chapel.
