Colors of Gratitude Gathering

April 18, 2021, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Colors of Gratitude Gathering

Colors of Gratitude is Kol Ami’s project to hand color and distribute personalized gratitude cards to front line workers and others doing good deeds during the pandemic. Our program this month will have a special emphasis on thanking individuals and organizations addressing food insecurity.

This gathering is great for all ages with separate break out rooms for: Families with Young Children, Young Adults and the Young at Heart. Please note the main room program will be recorded.

Awarding winning inspirational speaker and the illustrator of “Colors of Gratitude” Joanne Fink will lead an interactive discussion about gratitude, why it’s important and what our faith teaches about it.

Joanne has provided a toolkit to get you ready for the program. Download Joanne’s Colors of Gratitude Blank Cards along with her Gratitude Worksheet, Artful Thank You Phrases, and Art of Appreciation List Tracker created for today’s program. For additional tips visit her coloring patterns worksheet. Color at your leisure and Joanne will help you find the perfect words to express your gratitude.

This Colors of Gratitude Gathering is part of worldwide Good Deeds Day (GDD) 2021 created locally in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Other partners include Action Reconciliation Service for Peace, GatherDC, George Mason University Hillel, Jewish Federation’s PJ Library, the Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington and their Day of Unity, Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia and its Growing Jewish Families Program, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
This year’s GDD2021 is focused on food insecurity, a problem that has been especially acute during the COVID pandemic. Please consider joining us with a suggested $10 donation upon registration. All proceeds will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank.
