The Colors of Gratitude Gathering

Colors of Gratitude is Kol Ami’s project to hand color and distribute personalized gratitude cards to front line workers and others doing good deeds during the pandemic. Our program this month had a special emphasis on thanking individuals and organizations addressing food insecurity.

If you missed our program with awarding winning illustrator and inspirational speaker Joanne Fink, you can still find Joanne’s Gratitude Toolkit on our website.

Send in your scanned and hand-crafted cards (emailed to ) or offer a contribution (on our website with “Colors” in the comment field) by Friday, May 7th . All proceeds will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank and you’ll receive a final report by the end of May detailing where our cards have been distributed and the impact of our donations.

This Colors of Gratitude Gathering was offered as part of worldwide Good Deeds Day (GDD) 2021 created locally in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Other partners include Action Reconciliation Service for Peace, GatherDC, George Mason University Hillel, Jewish Federation’s PJ Library, the Interfaith Council of Metropolitan Washington and their Day of Unity, Joanne Fink Judaica, Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia and its Growing Jewish Families Program, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
