In order to help Kol Ami get in the mood for Passover, Sam Barr will be giving a special presentation entitled Exodus Routes to the Promised Land. He will be using selected scenes from his 1967 Sinai Documentary which was based on his travels throughout the Sinai Peninsula with teams from the Israeli Military Press Office and the Ministry of Agriculture.
This will be a multimedia presentation using two projectors; one showing the actual terrain features negotiated by the Israelites some 3300 years ago; the other projector will be showing historic prints depicting the Israelites at various locations during their sojourn. The projected terrain features and historic prints will relate to one another in order to convey to the audience the actual situation that the Israelites were experiencing as they traveled from Egypt, across Sinai, and along the mountains of Jordan all the way to Jericho and the Promised Land. During this presentation the entire Exodus story will be told, through these historic prints, about the life of Moses from the time he is placed in the Nile, as a baby, till his death on Mt. Nebo.
We’ll be in the Activity Room.
