On this Kabbalat Shabbat we’ll also observe Yom Yerushalayim. There’s no piece of real estate on the planet holier than the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif. While it is the source of continuing conflict, I choose to note how it’s holy to all the Children of Abraham. Let’s come together in song and in contemplation to feel the joy of the day when the State of Israel returned the people of Israel to the Land of Israel, when our holiest place was no longer on the wrong side of a barbed wire fence that we could see, but not visit. You can find a handout for Friday night’s service HERE.
