Morah Jen’s Hebrew class and half her Jewish studies class participated in a songwriting workshop with Caron Dale, in which the group wrote a terrific song about Tikkun Olam.  They’ll be performing it at the JCEP-led Shabbat service this Friday night.  I’ve attached the song so that everyone can see the great work the kids did, and so that interested kids can practice it to sing at the service.
Hebrew homework: Practice reading/singing the V’ahavta, Mi Chamocha, Barechu, and Oseh Shalom in preparation for the JCEP-led service.

Morah Jen’s Jewish studies class discussed the omer and the Jewish calendar with Morah Joan, and they decorated their own calendars.
Homework: Think about a thought you’d like to share at the Shabbat service.  It can be about Shabbat, tikkun olam, tzedakah, or another concept we’ve discussed in class.
