Not only does the parsha (Shemot) begin the story of Moses, but it coincides with the anniversary of the births of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. These two men from different geographies, color, creed and theological backgrounds were joined in a spiritual kinship whose legacy still informs and inspires. The intersection of Moses, King and Heschel is a clear reminder of the work of Liberation we still have to do. Let’s come together to dream and scheme! Herb Levy leads the service.
We will be downstairs in the Chapel. Please bring a dessert to share.
