This week’s parsha is perhaps the most momentous in the entire Torah. Bo (from God’s command to Moses, “go” to Pharoah), recounts the demand that the Israelites be released from slavery, Pharoah’s obstinacy, the ten plagues, the people’s departure from Egypt, and the establishment of Passover as an annual commemoration. What drama – they even made a movie about it! But seriously, we’ll have a short discussion at this week’s service looking at the value of persistence and the drawbacks of stubbornness. Could they be two sides of the same coin? We’ll be in the chapel beginning at 7:30. Please bring a dessert to share. Mike Jawer will lead the service.
