Join Kol Ami for a Shabbat morning service led by Rabbi Gilah Langner. In memory of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks who passed away on November 7th, we will study his writings on the story of Esau in this week’s Torah portion. What does it mean to be overlooked for a blessing? How can the Torah be read to be inclusive of Esau despite the continuing winnowing of Abraham’s descendants in the book of Genesis? We will explore Rabbi Sacks’ thesis in his book, “Not in God’s Name.”
