We come together for Shabbat Lech Lecha, where we learn again the story of God telling Abraham to leave his familiar surroundings and go forth into the land, and into a future beyond what he imagined. A hauntingly appropriate parsha for the first Shabbat after the national elections!
This will also be the Shabbat service closest to Veterans’ Day. We’ll be having a special prayer to honor our veterans.
As usual, we will be singing (mostly familiar melodies, maybe a couple new ones), praying, sharing simchas, sending healing to those in need, learning together, and drawing on the power of being together in our community to gird ourselves for the week ahead.
Please bring autumnal goodies to share at the oneg. Looking forward to seeing you there! We’ll be in the Chapel.
