Reunions will be on our minds this Shabbat! In this week’s Torah portion, Jacob is reunited with Joseph after twenty-two years apart. Perhaps you’ve seen the movie, Lion, in which a young Indian child is separated from his family of origin for 25 years until he attempts to reunite with them. We’ll explore reunions of all kinds — with estranged family members, with classmates from a different era, with our earlier selves. Join us as we celebrate Shabbat, read the poignant story in the Torah about Joseph’s “reveal,” and engage in Torah study and discussion. We’ll be in the Chapel. Please bring a dairy/vegetarian dish to share for the Oneg after services.
