Please join us for chant, song, prayer and study on Shabbat, Saturday morning, May 14. “You shall be holy, for I, Adonai, am holy.” So says our Torah portion. What does it mean to be holy? What does it mean to act in a kind and humane manner in the world? We will explore our Torah portion’s mandate for ethical behavior in our world – and how indeed we can be kinder, gentler, more ethical and decent in a world that often mitigates against decency. Hillary Kraus, Joan Goldfarb and Jerry Achterman will leyn (chant) from the Torah, carrying forward a tradition of learning to chant and bringing this wonderful skill into our community. We’ll be in the Activity Room. Come join us! Please remember to bring a dairy vegetarian dish for the Oneg.
