On the evening of Shavuot, it is customary to come together and study — in a practice called Tikkun Leil Shavuot. Kol Ami is invited to
join with Shirat HaNefesh for a two-hour Tikkun with Rabbi Gilah and Hazzan Ramon Tasat focusing on what it means to be a Jew today. What is it like to be a Sephardic Jew in America? a Jew of color? A Jew from Russia, Israel, the south? A variety of speakers will open up Jewish identity in new ways. Singing, presentations, discussions, kiddush — from 8 to 10 p.m.
