Join us for a Tu B’Shvat Seder at Kol Ami, on Sunday Feb. 12th. The Seder is a festive gathering, featuring fruits and nuts in honor of the Jewish holiday of Tu BiShvat, the New Year of the Trees. Although Tu BiShvat has become a modern Jewish environmental holiday, the Seder comes from the Kabbalists of Safed, Israel in the 16th century who associated specific fruits and nuts with a mystical understanding of the world. Our JCEP families will be on hand as we sample fruits and nuts from the four worlds, create environmental art, put on a “Forest Play,” and renew our commitment to healing this planet. EVERYONE in the community is invited — please RSVP so we have the right amount of food. Any nut allergies — please let us know in advance.
Happy New Year, Trees!
There is no fee to attend. We’ll be in the Activity Room.
