Meet Our Participants

We’re delighted to welcome Rachel Graber as cantorial soloist this year for High Holidays, and deeply appreciative of the efforts of Kol Ami members who are co-leading services with Rabbi Langner.  And a special thank you to our Kol Amite band, and the leadership of Jim North and Jason Wright, who lift up our services with their beautiful music.

Rachel Graber began singing at the age of nine, as a member of the Iowa City Girl’s Choir and began studying voice in high school. She has been a High Holiday hazzan for the past seventeen years, since the age of eighteen. She has been honored to serve four congregations over those seventeen years, collaborating with the rabbi and the congregation to create a sacred space that promotes spiritual engagement and a deep and enduring connection to G-d and to the Jewish people. Ms. Graber is also deeply committed to social justice, serving as the Director of Public Policy at the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
