Yizkor

Yizkor 5784

Each year at Yom Kippur, Jews across the globe participate in the sacred tradition of Yizkor, or remembrance, of our loved ones whose lives in this world have ended.  Through prayers, individual meditation, and communal recital of the Kaddish, we call to mind their legacies and lift up their memories to become a blessing.

Kol Ami creates an annual Yizkor booklet.  Your loved ones will be remembered during the Yizkor service as the booklet is displayed on a screen and their names are read aloud. You may submit the names of those whose memories you wish to honor.  You may also submit photos of your loved ones with a limited amount of text to accompany the pictures and names.

Submissions are requested by Friday, September 1, 12:00 pm. Please don’t wait until the last minute, so we have time to make sure your submission displays as you would like it.

Submission instructions: Each page is limited to six names or two photos with accompanying text (suggested limit: 20 – 30 words). You have the option to choose a template (displayed below) and will receive an emailed proof for review within 2 business days. A donation of $25 per “names only” page and $36 per “photo(s) included” page is suggested with your submission. Of course, nobody will be turned away due to financial burden. When you are ready, submit your information HERE.

If you have questions or if you have not received your proof for review, please email .
