Each year at Yom Kippur, Jews across the globe participate in the sacred tradition of Yizkor, or remembrance. This year, Rayna Aylward and Ed Bomsey will join Rabbi Gilah in leading the Yizkor service.
In addition, Kol Ami is creating an online Yizkor booklet. Your loved ones will be remembered during the Yom Kippur Yizkor service as the booklet is displayed on-screen and their names are read aloud. You may submit the names of those whose memories you wish to honor, as you have done in the past. Or you can submit photos of your loved ones with a limited amount of text to accompany the pictures and names.
Submissions are requested by Monday, August 23rd, 12:00 pm. Please don’t wait until the last minute, so we have time to make sure your submission displays as you would like it.
Submission instructions: Each page is limited to six names or two photos with accompanying text (suggested limit: 20 – 30 words). You have the option to choose a template (displayed below) and will receive an emailed proof for review within 2 business days. A donation of $25 per “names only” page and $36 per “photo(s) included” page is suggested with your submission. Of course, nobody will be turned away due to financial burden. When you are ready, submit your information HERE.
