Tot Shabbat Services

Tot Shabbat Services

Kol Ami offers a monthly Tot Shabbat separate from the main service, in the Walden Room.  Each month children from ages 0 to 8 are welcome to come with a parent and experience a joyous, musical, interactive, and delightful hour of Jewish song, story, and prayer.

Tot Shabbat introduces young children to the sights, smells, sounds, tastes and feel of Shabbat and provides the building blocks for a basic knowledge of Shabbat worship, song and Jewish values in a joyful environment.  Our Tot Shabbat Coordinator Andrea Cate, is there to create positive Jewish experiences for families and introduce families with young children to Kol Ami to foster the beginning steps of forming connections within the congregation.

Kol Ami’s Tot Shabbat Coordinator, Andrea Cate, brings warmth and a wealth of Jewish pride, practices, and passion to her services with the youngest members of the community. She is a graduate of Songleader Bootcamp and a Rhythm ‘N Ruach certified instructor.  She and her husband David live in the Springfield region with their youngest of three children.

First time attendees are asked to contact our Communication and Administrative Coordinator and complete the Tot Shabbat Parent Form.
