Kol Ami Families: Connect, Thrive, Engage, and Grow
At Kol Ami, families are at the heart of our community. Whether through education, holiday celebrations, or special programs, we create meaningful experiences that bring families together in Jewish learning, tradition, and joy.
Tot Shabbat: A Joyful Introduction to Jewish Traditions
Tot Shabbat is an immersive, musical, and interactive program designed for young children and their families. Through Jewish songs, movement, storytelling, and prayer, little ones can experience the joy of Shabbat in a welcoming, engaging atmosphere.
The program begins at 11 AM, and afterward, families are invited to join the community kiddush at 12 PM. Check out upcoming Tot Shabbat dates and learn more here.
Jewish Children’s Education Program: A Foundation for Jewish Learning
Our Kol Ami Hebrew School provides children ages 6 to 12 with a strong foundation in Jewish traditions, culture, ethics, Hebrew language, and prayer.
With small class sizes and dedicated parent-teachers, children receive personalized attention in a warm, supportive setting. More than just a school, JCEP is a place where kids build a deep connection to Judaism in a fun and engaging way.

B‑Mitzvah Shmoozee: Exploring Jewish Adulthood Together
Several times a year, Rabbi Gilah meets with B‑Mitzvah students and their families for informal “shmooze” sessions. Together, they explore what it means to come of age in our Jewish community — reflecting on values, responsibilities, and personal growth on the journey toward becoming B‑Mitzvah. These gatherings provide a warm space for open dialogue, shared learning, and meaningful connection among students, families, and the wider Kol Ami community.
Family Shabbat Dinners & Holiday Celebrations: Gathering in Joy and Tradition
Celebrate Shabbat and Jewish holidays with Kol Ami in a way that’s fun, meaningful, and family-friendly! Throughout the year, we host monthly relaxed and joyous Family Shabbat Dinners where parents and children can unwind and connect.
Jewish holidays at Kol Ami are designed to engage kids and families with hands-on activities and festive traditions:
Hanukkah – Fry up latkes and celebrate with games and song.
Purim – Show off your costume and test your skills at our Purim Carnival.
Lag B’Omer – Gather around the fire for s’mores and stories.
High Holidays – Participate in Children’s Services to make the season meaningful for young ones.
Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Tu B’Shvat, and Passover – Join us for sukkah decorating, Torah dancing, and other special holiday events!
