Tot Shabbat

A Welcoming Shabbat Experience for Young Families

Looking for a meaningful and fun way to celebrate Shabbat with your young child?

Tot Shabbat is a joyful Saturday morning gathering for young children and their families. Through music, movement, stories, prayer, and play, families experience Jewish traditions in a warm, welcoming community. Led by Ari Jacobson, each gathering is filled with laughter, learning, and connection.

Join us at 11:00 am on select Saturdays throughout the year, then stay for our community Kiddush at noon to continue the celebration and connect with other families.

Tot Shabbat is held in person. Please contact us for location details.

Joyful Moments from Tot Shabbat

Tot Shabbat Leader: Ari Jacobson

We’re delighted to have Ari Jacobson as our beloved Tot Shabbat leader!

Ari brings boundless energy, a love of Jewish music, and years of experience as a teacher, actor, and service leader. Whether he’s guiding our JCEP students in prayer, singing in classrooms, or leading Tot Shabbat and family High Holiday services, Ari inspires joyful Jewish connection through music. He also serves as a Music Specialist at the DC JCC and has taught at schools and synagogues across the DC area and beyond.

We are so lucky to have Ari’s heart, humor, and harmony in our community.
