The Kol Amites are Kol Ami’s resident musical ensemble, filling our services and special events with song—from the High Holidays and B-Mitzvahs to our festive Hanukkah celebration. Their music reflects a growing repertoire of Jewish and Israeli contemporary melodies that elevate the liturgy and bring our community together.
Drawing on melodies from Nava Tehila in Jerusalem as well as American composers such as Craig Taubman, Joey Weisenberg, and Yosef Goldman, the Kol Amites blend professional talent with enthusiastic amateur voices. Multi-generational and multi-talented, the group celebrates the joy of making music as a way to connect, inspire, and enhance our communal prayers.
The ensemble is led by Jason Wright and Jim North, who guide with musical expertise—arranging pieces, supporting cantorial soloists, and encouraging the congregation to lift their voices in song.
