On this most solemn evening of the year, we gather as a community to hear the plaintive music of the Kol Nidre prayer and begin the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. Kol Nidre is the prayer of second chances, of coming together with the possibility of forgiveness and atonement alive for us, both personally and collectively.
Join Rabbi Gilah Langner, Hazzan Jim North, and Jacob Studley as well as the Kol Amite musicians for a spiritual journey into Yom Kippur. Our focus this evening will be on the first half of our theme, kol ha-olam kulo gesher tzar me’od / all the entire world is but a narrow bridge. Rabbi Gilah will be speaking about Anti-Semitism and navigating the new (and old) world we find ourselves in.
