Join us for the powerful Torah portion relating to the Golden Calf. Our guest speaker will be Safi Kaskas, translator and publisher of the Qur’an in English with references to the Hebrew Bible. We will learn about the Qur’an’s retelling of the Golden Calf story, and about the reasons for developing the first-ever translation of the Qur’an with Biblical cross-references.
Mr. Kaskas is the Founder and President of Strategic Edge Management Consultants, and a Senior Researcher in Islam and Multifaith Reconciliation at George Mason University. He has been active in interfaith work through this area and internationally as well. A potluck kiddush will follow the service.
