Tashlich is the practice of standing before a body of water and tossing some crumbs in which represent the remaining sticky points within your persona that get in the way of your having/creating a good year.We’ll gather at Alcova Heights Park, just a few blocks from the UUCA for a brief service-more doing than praying.

Plan to bring bread appropriate to your sin:

For ordinary sins                     White bread
For exotic sins                          French or Italian bread
For dark sins                             Pumpernickel
For complex sins                      Multi-grain bread
For truly warped sins              Pretzels
For sins of indecision              Waffles
For sins committed in haste  Matzoh
For substance abuse                Poppy seed rolls
For committing arson             Toast
For being ill-tempered            Sourdough bread
For silliness                               Nut bread
For not giving full value         Shortbread
For political chauvinism        Yankee Doodles
For excessive use of irony      Rye bread
