Service: 6:30 – 7:45 – In Person & Livestreamed
Apples & Honey: 7:45-8:30
We begin the new year with full but troubled hearts. Join us as we come together to sing the familiar melodies, to set our intentions for 5784, and to surround ourselves with a community of people both new and familiar. Rabbi Gilah and Jim North will be leading the service, with the musical help of our Kol Amite ensemble, led by Jason Wright. Our theme for this year, in memory of Rabbi Richard Ruth, z”l, is Ohr zarua la-tzaddik u’l-yishrei lev simchah / Light is sown for the righteous person, joy for the upright of heart. Rabbi Gilah will be speaking about two subjects that Rabbi Richard commended to us — community and awe. Apples and honey and kiddush and shmoozing in the lobby afterwards.
