Jews in Space: A Virtual Tour

December 6, 2020
10:00 am

Kol Ami has arranged for a virtual tour of the Jews in Space Exhibit currently on display at the Jewish Museum of Maryland.

Space is limited to only 25 devices so pre-registration is required and will be honored on a first come first served basis. Kol Ami Members will get first priority.

If you would like to attend, please click  HERE to RSVP. The Zoom link will be sent to participants prior to the December 6th program. When capacity has been reached, the registration form will be disabled.

Here is a brief description of the exhibit:

Jews have always felt the wonder of space. The Jewish calendar marks time with the rising and setting of the sun, and tracks dates the cycles of the moon, also known as a lunar calendar.  From ancient astronomers to today’s space scientists and astronauts, Jewish people have often exhibited an interest in “looking up.” Outer space has also inspired Jewish artists, writers, comedians, and thinkers, both religious and secular, to boldly imagine realms beyond our Earth.

Additional information about the exhibit can be found HERE.
