Our Rosh Hashanah morning service soars with the music of the Kol Amites; uplifts our spirits with poetry, prayer, and reflections by our co-leaders, Joan Goldfarb, Hazzan Jim North, and Rabbi Gilah Langner; unites the community with Torah reading, shofar blowing, and the magnificent liturgy of Rosh Hashanah. Rabbi Gilah will be speaking on the Akeidah, the Binding of Isaac story, in a sermon entitled, The Akeidah, Child Sacrifice, and Gun Violence. Children’s services are offered at 10 am and 11 am for different ages, led by Carol Boyd Leon; at noon children are invited to join the main congregation for shofar blowing.
