Selichot and Poetry Reading

On Selichot, we prepare for the re-birth of the world on Rosh Hashanah.  To
turn toward the new possibilities arising closer and closer, we will remind
ourselves of the thirteen attributes of God and some of the special High
Holiday prayers and melodies that will focus our hopes for the new year
during the Days of Awe, from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur.
Poetry is traditionally an important part of the Selichot service, and this
year’s service will feature the launch of our second poetry book with
readings from some of our Kol Ami poets.  A creative experience not to be
missed!
