Selichot — with Rabbi Ilan Glazer

When our hearts are heavy with sadness, do we sense that God is with us, or do we feel disconnected, isolated, and alone?  As we begin a new Jewish year, how do we prepare ourselves to release some of the pain we carry?  Our High Holidays this year at Kol Ami are dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Richard z”l.

Selichot begins the season with a visit from Rabbi Ilan Glazer, who is creating an album of original melodies informed by his own grief and loss journey. Together, we’ll learn a few of the melodies from the album, and journey together from darkness to light, with songs, quiet moments, and guided reflections to allow our hearts space to heal. Whatever pain you carry, this workshop will give you new melodies and insights to accompany you on your journey of healing, and help all of us find wholeness and peace.
