Join us on December 17 for a Shabbat morning service and a very special speaker: Walter Ruby, a long-time journalist and activist in Muslim-Jewish relations, and program director at the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, will speak about his book, We Refuse to Be Enemies,” co-authored with Muslim writer Sabeeha Rehman. Keying off the sibling enmity repeated in each generation in the book of Genesis, the book explores the two “elephants in the room:” the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and polarizing material in Jewish and Muslim holy texts and history. Join us for an intriguing, honest discussion. Potluck kiddush to follow at noon.
