Rabbi Melanie Aron

Rabbi Melanie Aron served as the Senior Rabbi of Congregation Shir Hadash in Los Gatos, California, from 1990 until her retirement in 2020.

During that time she also served on a variety of boards in the Jewish community, both locally and nationally, including the UAHC National Board, and with a number of interfatih groups, including the Los Gatos Interreligious Leaders Group, People Acting in Community Together, and the Islamic Networks Group.

In addition to a Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science, Rabbi Aron holds a Master’s of Hebrew Literature and a Doctorate of Divinity from Hebrew Union College.
